Meet the Newbies!

At Techdept we love finding fantastic, talented people.

Recently, we have recruited a handful of bright sparks to complement the ever-growing team. Let’s meet them…

Stuart, Chris, Leigh and Ed

Stuart O’Grady

Stuart is our new Web Developer. He does the back-end coding that brings all our tech projects to life. He was previously a Senior Developer at Fastrack Automotive where he dealt with clients including Audi, Toyota and Porsche. Whilst there, he headed a project involving the redesign and upgrade of the fleet sales components to accommodate new technologies.

Stuart has a teenage daughter named Charlie of whom he is very proud, and his favourite film is ‘The Shawshank Redemption’.

Chris Rhodes

Chris is our new Account Manager. He has seven years’ experience working for the likes of Lloyds Bank, American Express, and Amec Foster Wheeler. Chris is proud of all the behind-the-scenes projects he has worked on over the years and has proven that he is superb at meeting client demands and maintaining high, professional standards.  Outside of work you can find him running, hiking or sword fighting, or curled up with a Jonathan Coe novel whilst listening to The Glitch Mob. We love a multi-tasker.

Leigh Ciechanowski

Leigh is our Technical Project Director. He has over ten years’ of digital experience having worked for the NHS, Mitsubishi Electric, the University of Nottingham and The National Centre of Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics, to name just a few. More recently, he was Head of Development at the strategic digital agency Orange Bus.

Leigh is entrepreneurial, innovative, and passionate about his work.

His claim to fame is that he once saw Brian Cox from a distance and Leigh insists it was at a seminar and not a D:Ream concert. We’ll take his word for that.

Ed Cant

Ed is our new Front-end Developer and was previously in a similar role at a digital and print design agency called Reflow Studio where he worked predominantly on special effects and exploring the exciting possibilities of Virtual Reality for the web. He recently left the idyllic village of Hathersage to join us in sunny Sheffield.

Ed is very fond of his fitness, dabbling in tennis, hockey and working up a sweat at the gym; and is the proud owner of two pet chinchillas called Mayhem and Bucket.

Leigh enjoying the office’s helter-skelter.
