The Cannes Lions Festival is known as the “Oscars of Advertising”, a global celebration of creativity and big ideas. Previous speakers have included Kanye West and Sarah Jessica Parker. It’s kind of a big deal.
So when the Cannes Lions launches a new Festival-within-the-Festival – called Lions Innovation – dedicated to data, tech and ideas you should sit up and pay attention. Because as the world gets more technical, so does the world of creative marketing and advertising.
So it’s with enormous pride we can announce that we’ll be closing the Experience Stage at Lions Innovation on Friday 26th June at 4.30pm, with a special edition of our event series The Tech Off.
We have three amazing speakers – a designer, an ad creative, and a coder – who will slug it out in our battle of ideas…Each speaker has only 7 minutes to win over the crowd and be declared the winner, taking home a one-of-a-kind Creatives Vs Coders Champions Belt.
The Champ will be decided by those in attendance, but only after one final speaker has taken the stage: a Wild Card, picked from the audience themselves!
Ahead of the event, we will be asking for you to vote for who YOU think is driving the future: creatives, coders, or better collaboration between the two…After the session we will examine if this result has changed, creating a unique insight from the Festival on who is really in the driving seat of tomorrow’s creative innovation.
