7 unmissable marketing technology events

7 unmissable marketing technology events

The world of marketing technology is on fire…in the last 12 months alone, the market has grown 98.1%. It’s this kind of growth that has led one venture capitalist – Ashu Garg of Foundation Capital – to predict that the industry will grow 10x in the next ten years.

This rate of growth inevitably creates a wide range of events, festivals and annual conferences all vying for our attendance. That’s why we’ve put together this roundup of what – we think – are the best marketing technology events to attend in next 12 months…

cannes lions innovation

When? June 25th – 26th 2015
Where? Cannes, France

Cannes Lions is more than a Festival of Creativity, it’s an annual force of nature for global adland. Keynote speakers like Pharrell Williams, Brian Cox and Kim Kardashian show why it’s known as the Oscars of advertising. Close to 12,000 people will be in attendance, with the hottest agencies strutting their stuff.

This year Cannes Lions are launching a new festival-within-the-festival: Lions Innovation. Created in recognition of the growing importance of technology and data – as well as creative ideas – this will be THE place to see how marketing and technology will shape the future of creativity

We’re mega-honoured to have been invited to be at Cannes Lions Innovation Festival this year, with a special event: Creatives vs Coders: The Tech Off.

Building on our regular ‘battle of creative technology ideas’ in London – The Tech Off – we will be debating who is driving the future of creativity: creatives or coders. Come see us on the Experience Stage, Friday the 26th June at 4.30pm – should be a lot of fun!

marketing technology

When? June 2nd, 2015
Where? London, UK

Recently, I asked Marketing Technology stalwart and founder of the highly revered blog “chiefmartec.com“, Scott Brinker, which Marketing Technology event he was most looking forward to  this year, he immediately stated – The FT Marketing Innovators Summit 2015.

If you’re a marketer, or business leader operating in what The Economist dubbed the 3rd industrial revolution,  this event will help you to understand the scope of the changes underway, and what you need to do to adapt.

You can expect intensive lessons from the latest tech and organisational innovations, to how neuroscience, psychology and behavioural economics mash-ups are challenging traditional marketing methodologies. The aim? To help you accelerate growth in new and traditional markets.

The keynote speech comes from Unilever CMO, Keith Weed. Keith will be speaking on redefining the role of the CMO – perhaps the key implication for any brand today.
